Prof. Vinny Cahill was elected a Fellow of Trinity College in 1999 and is currently a Science Foundation Ireland investigator. His research addresses middleware support for dependable context-aware service-oriented computing for applications ranging from automotive systems to independent living. Recent publications have appeared in leading fora such as ACM OOPSLA, IEEE PerCom, IEEE Pervasive Computing, IEEE TSMC, and The Computer Journal.
