[2011-02-01] DSG secures major SFI funding for "smart cities" researchProf. Vinny Cahill has been awarded an SFI Principal Investigatorship to undertake research on how future "smart cities" can use data contributed by individual citizens to improve urban services and optimise resource usage. The project entitled "Self-organising Architectures for Autonomic Management of Smart Cities" will commence in March 2011 for five years. |
