[2008-02-05] Paper accepted in Journal of Autonomic and Trusted computingA paper by Pierpaolo Dondio, Stephen Barrett and Luca Longo has been accepted for publication for a Special Issue of the Journal of Autonomic and Trusted Computing on Ubisafe Computing . The paper is entitled "Application-Contained Trust Computation: the Case of Self-Organizing Systems of Information". [2008-02-04] ALIVE starts in FebruaryA new project investigating coordination, organisation and model-driven approaches for dynamic, flexible, robust software and services engineering kicks off in February. The project is called ALIVE and is funded under the EU Framework 7 programme. DSG's effort is led by Siobhán Clarke. [2008-01-21] DSG researcher wins Ericsson Best Dissertation PrizeKillian Levacher was presented today with the 2007 Ericsson Best Dissertation Prize from the M.Sc. in Computer Science (Networks and Distributed Systems). His dissertation is entitled "Elite, an Ethical 3rd Generation P2P Search Engine" and was supervised by Stephen Barrett. [2007-12-12] DSG investigating P2P technologies under Enterprise Ireland Proof of Concept ProgrammeStephen Barrett has kicked off two new projects focussed on P2P under the Enterprise Ireland Proof of Concept programme. The first, Sophie, will deliver a P2P search personalisation platform based on decentralised and non-invasive trust computation. The second, Peerhosting, will deliver a market system and enabling platform for the trading of web hosting capacity among WHPs.
